We met Gitte at the current location of kvindesmedien in Christanshavn. I was immediately captured by her humble charisma and her style of storytelling. Although, this was an exercise in giving in depth interviews to understand a person and audience, she opened up so extensively about her life. We sat at a table in the break room, while she went through her life and experiences, from a young child, to backpacking to India, motherhood in Christiania, and of course founding a women's blacksmith shop in Christiania.
This was my first taste of layout and creating the set-up of an article. It holds a special place in my heart, since it captured another human's spirit in photos and layout. The photos are taken by Renāte Meimere, while the layout articles were put together by myself.
